Sinus Lift / Augmentation
Prepare for Successful Dental Implants
A sinus lift, or sinus augmentation, is often needed when the upper jaw lacks sufficient bone height for implants. By gently raising the sinus floor and adding bone graft material, we create a solid foundation for implant stability.
Using advanced imaging, we plan your procedure for precision and comfort. Healing takes a few months, after which implants can be placed securely.
Sinus Lift / Augmentation FAQ’s
How long does recovery take after a sinus lift?
Most patients feel normal within a week, though full bone integration takes 4–9 months before implant placement.
Is a sinus lift painful?
We use local anesthesia or sedation to make the procedure comfortable. Any post-procedure soreness can usually be managed with over-the-counter medication.
Will I need this before every implant?
Only if your jawbone lacks the height needed for stable implants in the upper back jaw area. Imaging helps us determine if a lift is required.
